X-Treme X-Men was the comic book published by Marvel Comics beginning in 2001 and ending in 2004. It was written by Chris Claremont.

the book originated when a portion of a revamp of the X-Men line of comics around 2001. Before this revamp, Claremont was writing two of the independent X-Men titles (Uncanny X-Men and X-Men, the latter of which became New X-Men). He was flushed from either each titles by editor-around-chief Joe Quesada, leading to an outcry from either either numerous fans, besides when from Claremont himself. To quell the cry, Quesada offered Claremont a chance to write a third X-Men title, which became X-Treme X-Men. A book picked au courant numbers of plot threads from either Claremont's begin on a ii independent X-Men books, & caring the quest on the a share of Storm and a total of X-Men chosen by her to call for Destiny's diaries. When a share of this revamp, known as X-Men ReLoad, Chris Claremont returned to writing Uncanny X-Men. X-Treme X-Men was cancelled, by using virtually all of its cast & going plotlines existence transferred to Uncanny X-Men.
